I love my AT2U--GEMS family, and am so very thankful for them. They are the loves of my life, and God provides my sustenance through them. The cute little boy pictured above is showing the Short Vowel Award he received last fall. Now he is reading fluently for a kindergartener -- long and short vowels, special blends and all! What a joy to be a part of that!
I love my job and my families. The 2013-2014 school year at AT2U--GEMS was the biggest ever, which was a wonderful blessing for me. But the sudden extreme growth (almost doubled) has kept me super busy since last September; and it has taken a bit to figure out how to make that happen and still meet my own everyday needs, much less find time for blogs and other things!
Lest you think I have dropped off the face of the earth :-) I have not! Just super busy.
Enter: summer break.
I'll be using most of the 2-month break to make adjustments and plans for next year when I welcome back almost all of my current students and a few new sign-ons besides . . . so . . . more and better pre-planning is called for in order to maintain success without stress. I am thankful for summer break so I can get that done!
Also, I hope to write more for this website again -- after I take a couple weeks of vacation. I've had to set "Living . . . with Linda" aside during these past few months to get through the sudden growth spurt and spring recital. So that's where I've been. God has been teaching me more about how to live . . . and, perhaps surprisingly, how to rest . . . but trying to fit in the writing part -- well, that had to wait until after some adjustments are made! More on that later.
But I"ll be back -- after a couple weeks' vacation and catch-up time. See you soon!
